Minnesota Timberwolves guard Jamal Crawford has been through a lot during his 18-year NBA career. He’s been through his share of wars in the playoffs, particularly during his five seasons with the L.A. Clippers.
However, Crawford revealed to Jerry Zgoda of the Star Tribune that their 2016 second-round series against the Houston Rockets stands out as the toughest series he’s been a part of.

Then we go up 3-1 on Houston and we think we’re rolling … Some of it was injuries and a couple times it was self-inflicted, to be honest with you. We just never figured it out.”
It shouldn’t come as much of a shock that Crawford considers that series as his toughest ever. Probably all the other members of that Clippers team likely feel the same way. The epic collapse the Clippers suffered during Game 6 of that series was one of the most catastrophic in NBA history.
Not only did the Clippers go on to lose the series in seven games, but that defeat became the defining setback that team couldn’t ever recover from. Crawford and the rest of that team will have to live with that failure for the rest of their lives, which is a really tough pill to swallow.
