The Minnesota Timberwolves had to work a lot harder than expected to put away the struggling L.A. Clippers. Karl-Anthony Towns played 39 minutes while Taj Gibson played 36 as coach Tom Thibodeau continues to play his starters a lot of minutes.
But even after that hard-earned win, Towns and Gibson still had the energy to go out and hit up the Hollywood nightclub Warwick later in the night, as TMZ reports.
The two were spotted wearing expensive designer hoodies (Gibson's cost $1,280 amazingly), as was former NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel, who was also spotted at the club that night.
Article Continues BelowRest (or the lack thereof) has been a growing concern surrounding the Timberwolves because of Thibodeau’s consistently heavy minutes to the team’s five starters. Even the indefatigable Jimmy Butler may be starting to get tired following multiple 40-minute games in a row.
But while some might question Towns and Gibson for hitting up the club, it should be noted that the Timberwolves will have three days off before playing their next game against the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday.
Towns and Gibson earned the right to go out and have fun in L.A. following that win over the Clippers and they will have ample time to rest and recover before Thibs tries to run them to the ground once again.
