Canadians have shown a huge amount of support for the Toronto Raptors in their first-ever NBA Finals appearance. The first two games of the best-of-seven championship series against the Golden State Warriors have received very high ratings in Canada.
Now, the NBA is reporting that 35 percent of the country's population has watched the NBA Finals.
The NBA says through two games, 35% of the Canadian population has watched all or part of the #NBAFinals.

For those who don't know, Canada is the second largest country in the world. It has a population of around 37.6 million, which means that more than 16 million Canadians have seen the Raptors-Warriors series.
Article Continues BelowThe Raptors took a 118-109 victory in Game 1 last Thursday behind Pascal Siakam's 32 points, but lost Game 2 Sunday night, 109-104, despite Kawhi Leonard's 34 points and 14 rebounds. The series will now shift to Oakland for Games 3 and 4 on Wednesday and Friday.
Over the past couple of years, the Raptors have been one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference, but their fans usually ended up disappointed in the playoffs because they previously couldn't get the job done. Prior to this season, they lost to LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers twice in the playoffs, which forced the team's front office to make some changes.
One of the biggest changes the Raptors made had something to do with their roster. They traded longtime Raptor DeMar DeRozan to the San Antonio Spurs in exchange for Kawhi Leonard. That deal has worked in their favor.
The outcome of the NBA Finals is still up in the air at 1-1 heading to California, but win or lose, die-hard Raptors fans in Canada will stand behind their team no matter what.
