Former US president Barack Obama and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will both be in attendance when the Toronto Raptors and the Golden State Warriors collide in Game 2 of the 2019 NBA Finals.

Obama is a known big basketball fan, and is expected to cheer on the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals. The former US president is familiar with several players of the Warriors, having hosted them at the White House during his term.

On the other hand, attending sports events is also not a new thing for Trudeau. The Canadian Prime Minister will root for the Raptors. Toronto made history for the country, as their stint in the biggest stage of the season led to the first NBA Finals game in Canadian soil. In Game 1, the Canadian national anthem “O Canada” was played for the first time in an NBA finals in league history.

The Raptors delighted not only Toronto fans but also Canadians who are rooting for them in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. The Raptors ran away with a 118-109 win against the defending champions on Thursday. Pascal Siakam was the hero for Toronto, as he ended up with 32 points on top of eight rebounds and five assists.

The NBA Finals determine who stands at the top of the NBA. Two men who know what it means — and feels like — to be the leader of a large community can relate to other people who are performing at the top of their chosen profession.
