Toronto Raptors forward Pascal Siakam is not forgetting former teammate DeMar DeRozan. Siakam was seen wearing a “Comp10” shirt of DeRozan on Wednesday.

Siakam's gesture drew mixed reactions from fans around the league, especially after DeMar DeRozan uttered controversial statements about the current run of the Raptors. However, Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun revealed that Siakam said that he was not trying to cause a stir and that DeRozan just sent him some stuff.

It can be remembered that DeRozan made it no secret that he felt betrayed when the Raptors traded him to the San Antonio Spurs. In a recent Bleacher Report interview, DeRozan said that the Raptors would not have reached their current status if not for the groundwork that was laid out when he was still with the franchise.

“I fought. I sacrificed. I pushed the limits to where I had to be the sacrificial lamb,” DeRozan said. “You just have to sit back and understand you're the reason so many things were even possible.”

DeRozan spent his first nine seasons in the league with the Raptors, and previously turned down enticing offers to stay in Toronto. Like DeRozan, a number of Raptors fans were also disappointed when his loyalty was not valued by the franchise, but the move made wonders for them, as they are now a win away from winning their first NBA title.
