Toronto Raptors fans are determined to make up for their embarrassing behavior when Golden State Warriors superstar Kevin Durant went down with an injury on Monday night.

Many Raptors fans drew flak when they cheered loudly after they saw Durant limping and holding his Achilles in Game 5. Several players from both teams expressed their disappointment, and tried to stop the fans from cheering. Despite the fact that they stopped cheering, the whole fan base remained on the hot seat.

To ease the impact of the incident in Game 5 of the 2019 NBA Finals, Raptors fans were seen making a card for the injured superstar. In a video posted on TSN Sports, several fans and even the Raptor mascot were seen signing the “Get Well Soon” card for Durant.

Durant will miss the remainder of the series and likely the entire 2019-20 NBA season due to a ruptured Achilles. The two-time NBA Finals Most Valuable Player underwent a successful surgery in New York on Wednesday. There was no timetable given for his recovery.

It would be interesting to see if Durant has also played his final game for Golden State. The 30-year-old superstar could opt out of the final year of his contract and become a free agent this summer. He could opt in but might not be available at all for the Warriors next season.
