Toronto Raptors star small forward Kawhi Leonard and Denver Nuggets power forward Paul Millsap have been named the NBA Players of the Week for Week 7.

Kawhi Leonard averaged 29.3 points, 9.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists while leading the Raptors to a 3-0 mark. Paul Millsap put up 21.0 points, 10.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists and helped the Nuggets go 2-0.

Both the Raptors and Nuggets are in first place in their respective conferences.

Kawhi Leonard is showing the world that he is still one of the best players in the NBA despite only playing in nine games last season with the San Antonio Spurs due to a lingering quadriceps injury. The two-time Defensive Player of the Year is putting up 25.5 points, 8.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game on the year while shooting 48.5 percent from the field, 34.6 percent from beyond the arc and 84.9 percent from the free-throw line.

Paul Millsap is having a great bounce-back season after missing the majority of last year with a wrist injury. The four-time All-Star is recording 13.6 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per contest and shooting 50.2 percent from the field, 40.0 percent from the 3-point line and 71.6 percent from charity stripe.

Kawhi Leonard can become an unrestricted free agent after the season ends if he declines his 2019-20 player option with the Raptors, something he is widely expected to do since more money is available to him on the open market. Paul Millsap, meanwhile, signed a three-year, $90 million deal with the Nuggets in 2017.
