Former NBA Champion Antoine Walker joined First Things First on Fox Sports and chimed in his thoughts on the Finals match-up between the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.
Walker particularly focused on how Kawhi Leonard needs to play smarter and find ways to get his teammates going in order for the Raptors to dethrone the defending champions:
"The Raptors don't need more from Kawhi, they need him to play smarter. He has to take a page out of Jordan, Kobe and LeBron's book where you gotta get your teammates involved early and pick your spots." — @WalkerAntoine8 pic.twitter.com/QKZrxFtFpj

Leonard had a dominant offensive performance in Game 2, contrary to the night he had in Game 1.
He scored 23 points on just 5-of-14 shots and added eight rebounds five assists in Game 1. With their superstar forward facing multiple double-teams and struggling from the floor, Pascal Siakam, Marc Gasol, and Fred VanVleet all stepped up for Toronto in their Game 1 victory.

The two-time Defensive Player of the Year scored 34 points on 8-of-20 shooting and 16-of-16 from the free-throw line. But as Walker mentioned, Leonard didn't really get much help from his teammates, especially in the second half, where the Warriors made their signature third quarter surge.
Toronto is at its best when the ball is moving and everyone gets involved. This allows the likes of Gasol, Lowry, and Siakam to make their impact and help Leonard with the offensive load. Of course, it also helps when guys are knocking down shots.
The Raptors found a lot of success with Leonard looking to get his teammates involved and going. Game 1 of these Finals and those last two games against the Milwaukee Bucks in the East Finals show that he is more than capable of being the all-around player that the Raptors need him to be.
