Danny Green was bundled in the blockbuster trade that saw teammate Kawhi Leonard get traded from the San Antonio Spurs to the Toronto Raptors, but he's still in the dark about what really caused the fallout with the organization.

The marksman spoke at length about the trade for the first time during his podcast Inside The Green Room, including what may have caused the rupture between Leonard and the organization — claiming he will need clarity on the matter before starting over with Leonard with his new team.

“I don’t think it was due to ill relationships or bad terms with people – regardless of the situation, it happened… There’s a lot of details that fans don’t know about, behind the scenes with players, and I don’t even know,” said Danny Green. “I haven’t had the chance to sit down [with Kawhi]. I feel like we have to have that sit-down. I have to talk to him. I need to know what’s going on. ‘Since I’m with you now, I need to know what’s going on. What happened? What’s going on? Where’s your head at? Because we’re in this together now.'”

Green and Kawhi Leonard have played together through the majority of their careers, but their rapport as teammates hangs on the balance as the return pieces for DeMar DeRozan, expected to give this Raptors team the jolt they need to get past the Eastern Conference Finals and make their first NBA Finals appearance in franchise history.
