The Toronto Raptors advanced to the NBA Finals for the first time in their history by beating the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference Finals after losing the first two games of the series.
In Game 6, the Raptors overcame a 15-point deficit in the third quarter to stun the Bucks, who held the best record in the league and home-court advantage throughout the playoffs. Toronto made a furious rally in the final 15 minutes of the game to take Milwaukee out for good.
This sparked a massive celebration in Toronto, as Raptors fans were happy to see their team finally advance to the Finals after several years of heartbreak. There were plenty of videos going around of the celebrations, but it was apparently a well-behaved throng of fans, with no arrests reported.
Raptors swingman Danny Green commented on the lack of arrests:

“A lot of crazy stuff going on. Surprised nobody got arrested, probably due to the cops being nice.” – Danny Green on Toronto celebrating

Green was part of a championship team before, as he helped the San Antonio Spurs win the 2014 NBA title. But this is the first time he saw a city celebrate with such joy and passion just because their team is advancing to the NBA Finals.
But if the fans were overly ecstatic about this win, expect them to double the celebration if the Raptors are able to take down the Golden State Warriors in the Finals. It will not be easy, but Toronto has enough talent and determination to go toe-to-toe with the two-time defending champions.
The fans will surely do everything they can to encourage the Raptors in Game 1 on Thursday.
