Danny Green believes that he will be an asset to the team that will successfully sign him this summer.

Green will become an unrestricted free agent, and is expected to draw a lot of interest on the market. In an interview with Alex Kennedy of Hoopshype, the 32-year-old guard said that he can bring a lot to a team, especially for teams who are looking to make a deep playoff run.

“I think a lot of teams are looking for a lot of the things that I can bring to the table, especially with my defense and then obviously with my outside shooting,” Green said. “I’m a guy who’s been around for a while, so I have that veteran leadership and can help younger guys – or even older guys – who haven’t been to that level.”

Green is a two-time NBA champion, and has had a lot of success during his days with the San Antonio Spurs and last season with the Raptors. The former North Carolina standout believes that his experience makes him a great leader, and someone who can help young players mature and understand what it takes to win.

The 10-year veteran averaged 10.3 points on top of 4.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 80 games with the Raptors last season. In their 2019 NBA Finals showdown with the Golden State Warriors, Green averaged just 7.3 points, but he did a lot of damage on the defensive end of the floor, making like difficult for Steph Curry and Klay Thompson.
