Kawhi LeonardĀ reportedly agreed to a deal with shoe and apparel brand New Balance, but the Toronto Raptors star told the media Wednesday that nothing is official yet, according to ESPN's Tim Bontemps.
āIt's not official,ā said Leonard. āMe and New Balance haven't announced anything.ā
Unofficial as it may be, Twitter didn't wait for the grand announcement to be made to start poking fun at the recent signing.

This is hardly the first time a player has chosen to go a different way from the norm, as players like Dwyane Wade, Klay Thompson, Rajon Rondo and Tony Parker, among others, have chosen to sign with non-Nike or Adidas-owned brands.
Puma recently made a push to enter the NBA world for the first time since Vince Carter's early years, signing Boston Celtics point man Terry Rozier and a slew of rookies from this year's draft, including top overall pick Deandre Ayton.
The most shocking of all was Lonzo Ball's creation of his very own brand and product, a project that has seen its ups and downs in terms of popularity and effectiveness on the court.
Leonard's shoes have yet to be released to the public, but if he's able to perform at the level he has this season, it won't be long until they surface in shoe retailers nationwide.
