The Toronto Raptors will be without the services of Kawhi Leonard for Monday night's home game against the New York Knicks due to “load management,” according to an official press release from the team:

The Raptors are giving Leonard this time off as a precautionary measure on the second night of a back-to-back. The former San Diego State standout played in each of Toronto's last three games, which hasn't happened in over a month. Nothing to be alarmed about here, though, as the team has been proactive in their attempts to monitor his usage rate throughout the season.

In 51 appearances this season, Leonard has racked up averages of 27.1 points on 49.7 percent shooting from the field (37.1 percent from beyond the arc), 7.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.8 steals in 34.4 minutes per outing.

Leonard's day of rest means Pascal Siakam and Norman Powell will likely see upticks in their usage rates.

In other Raptors-related injury news, Kyle Lowry is currently listed as questionable. Lowry has missed the last two games with an ankle sprain, so he could be held out as well. Additional updates on his status should be released shortly before tip-off.

Raptors big man Serge Ibaka is currently serving a suspension, which means he will not be available. Marc Gasol will likely be given a starting nod.

Monday night's Raptors-Knicks game is scheduled to tip inside Scotiabank Arena at 7:30 p.m. ET.
