Toronto Raptors All-Star Kyle Lowry provided an update on his injured thumb following Monday morning's shootaround.

Lowry went through portions of practice on Monday morning, but the former Villanova Wildcat is still listed as questionable for Tuesday night's home game against the Miami Heat.

According to Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun, Lowry's thumb is recovering well, but it didn't heal as quickly as he thought it would. He suffered the injury on Nov. 8 and the team set an estimated return date of Dec. 1.

The fact that Lowry is nearing a return is great news for the Raptors, as he's been a key piece of their success in recent seasons. The 33-year-old has made eight appearances with Toronto this season, racking up averages of 21.8 points on 47.8 percent shooting from the field (424.6 percent from beyond the arc), 6.5 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 36.1 minutes per outing.

Fred VanVleet, Norman Powell and Terence Davis have been picking up the slack with Lowry out of commission. If Lowry is able to return for Tuesday's game, their minutes would likely take a bit of a hit.

Though Lowry has been sidelined, the Raptors have been playing great. In fact, Toronto (15-4 overall) is currently riding the wave of a seven-game winning streak and they're 9-0 at home.

Tuesday night's matchup between the Raptors and Heat is scheduled to tip inside Scotiabank Arena at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Stay tuned for more updates on Lowry's status as they become available.
