After a tough loss to the Denver Nuggets on Sunday night, Toronto Raptors head coach Nick Nurse was not pleased with the officiating. His star player, Kawhi Leonard, only shot four free throws the entire game, a number that Nurse found to be embarrassingly low for the physicality of the game:

Even though he didn't shoot many free throws, Leonard played a great game. The former Spur scored a game-high 29 points while also grabbing 14 rebounds. It wasn't enough to overcome a talented Nuggets squad, who eventually came away with a 95-86 victory.

Denver was led by phenom Nikola Jokic, who once again proved he is one of the best big men in the league by scoring 28 points and grabbing nine boards.

Worth noting is the fact that while Nurse was displeased with Leonard's free-throw count, not one player on the Nuggets shot more than five free throws. Additionally, the total free-throw counts were very close for both teams, as Toronto shot 14 while Denver shot 16.

Nurse certainly has more than basketball on his mind at the moment. Only four days ago, he lost his 94-year-old mother. Nurse has expressed how close he was to her and how she was extremely supportive of his basketball career and exploits.

Even after the passing, Nurse has stayed with the team, continuing to fight for his squad and remaining as fiery as ever.

The Raptors will play their next game against the Indiana Pacers in an Eastern Conference showdown on Wednesday evening in Scotiabank Arena.
