The Toronto Raptors have been shorthanded in recent weeks due to COVID-19, but they'll be getting some much-needed reinforcements soon. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet have returned to practice on Tuesday ahead of their upcoming game versus the Detroit Pistons.

Both Siakam and VanVleet have been sidelined for the Raptors since before the All-Star break due to the league's health and safety protocols. Siakam has missed the past six games for Toronto dating back to February 26, while VanVleet has been sidelined the past five games.
Even though Siakam and VanVleet are returning to practice, Siakam carries a questionable tag heading into Wednesday's game against the Pistons. On the other hand, VanVleet has been given a doubtful designation, per TSN's Josh Lewenberg.

Since Pascal Siakam has been out due to the NBA's health and safety protocols, the Raptors have gone 1-5, falling to 17-22 on the season, which makes the 11th seed in the Eastern Conference. Toronto has lost all five games that Fred VanVleet has missed, including three blowout losses by more than 10 points.
Despite Toronto's recent struggles, it's a positive sign to see Siakam and VanVleet return to the court after their semi-lengthy absences. Before being sidelined, Siakam was producing 20.1 points, a career-best 7.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game.
As for VanVleet, the tough-nosed guard was compiling a career-high 20.1 points and 6.6 assists per game for the Raptors. Even though both of them could need some time to get their conditioning back, seeing them practice again is a welcome sight for fans in Toronto.
