Toronto Raptors star Pascal Siakam has yet to play in 2021/22 as he continues to recover from shoulder surgery, but it appears he is ahead of schedule in his rehab.
Per Sportsnet's Michael Grange, Siakam could make his season debut as early as Sunday against the Brooklyn Nets:
Some positive Raptors news: Pascal Siakam’s return is imminent, I’m hearing. *Could* be as soon as Sunday vs. Nets, if not then Wednesday @ Celtics. No later than Saturday vs. Detroit.

As noted, if he doesn't suit up this weekend, the Raptors forward will likely be on the floor next week sometime. Toronto hasn't exactly missed Siakam because of the emergence of Scottie Barnes, but it will certainly be nice to have arguably their best player back in the fold.
Article Continues BelowSiakam averaged 21.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists last season, but he struggled from three-point land, shooting a dismal 29%. There was some animosity between him and head coach Nick Nurse amid their terrible campaign, but the air has been cleared since.
The Raptors are actually playing very well early on and just won five straight before a heartbreaking loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night. The challenge for Nurse will be keeping Barnes on the floor with Siakam since they do play the same position. However, both guys are capable of playing either forward spot, so it shouldn't be too much of an issue.
The emergence of OG Anunoby is also very promising for the Raptors. Between Fred VanVleet, Siakam, Anunoby, and Barnes, Toronto has a solid core in place right now that will be looking to make some noise in the East.
