We have to remember that when Leonard requested a trade from the San Antonio Spurs last summer, he wanted to be traded to either the Los Angeles Lakers or Clippers. Even though Leonard guided the Raptors to the 2019 championship, everyone in the league had a good feeling that the three-time All-Star still wanted to head home to Los Angeles.

Raptors fans can't be mad at Leonard. He delivered Toronto its first NBA title. This summer was the first time Kawhi had the chance to choose where he could play. We can't blame the superstar for wanting to go home and play for the Clippers, especially now that LAC traded for All-Star swingman Paul George.

He only played for the Raptors for one season, but a case can be made Leonard had the greatest one-year run in NBA history with a team. Leonard only played in nine games in 2017-18 due to a lingering quadriceps injury. It's amazing The Claw was able to regain his star status so quickly.
