Kawhi Leonard made his Toronto Raptors debut Saturday night against the Portland Trail Blazers, and it didn't take long for the superstar small forward to get in the scoring column.
After missing his first shot of the game, which was a long 3-pointer that came at the end of the shot clock, Leonard scored his first basket in a Raptors uniform moments later, hitting a smooth pull up jumper from the midrange that made the Canada crowd cheer for joy.

Kawhi Leonard only played in nine games last season due to a lingering quadriceps injury and requested a trade from the San Antonio Spurs after his relationship with the franchise soured. The two-time Defensive Player of the Year can become an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2019 if he declines his player option for the 2019-20 season, something Leonard is widely expected to do since more money is available to him on the open market.
The Raptors can offer Leonard almost $50 million more than any other team in 2019, including a fifth year. Toronto has a great chance to get to the NBA Finals for the first time in franchise history with Leonard in the mix this year. The Raptors had the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference last season and are essentially replacing DeMar DeRozan with Leonard.
