As you can see, DeMar DeRozan was very emotional watching the video tribute and appreciated the love from the Toronto crowd.

DeRozan is Toronto's franchise leader in a bevy of categories, including games played, field goals, free throws and points. He averaged 19.7 points with Toronto in 675 games and will do gown as the best player in franchise history.

The trade which sent DeRozan to San Antonio not only hurt DeMar, but also Raptors fans, who loved DeRozan and embraced him as one of their own. The California native wanted to remain with Toronto for life, which is why he was very down last summer when the trade initially happened.

In the end, Toronto acquired an MVP-caliber player in Kawhi Leonard, while DeMar DeRozan is now paired with one of the best coaches in NBA history in Gregg Popovich. The Raptors will surely retire DeRozan's jersey one day.
