The Toronto Raptors easily handled the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference Semifinal matchup on Saturday night, as Raptors star Kawhi Leonard dominated the game from start to finish.

Leonard poured in a playoff career-high 45 points — including 27 in the first half — and added 11 rebounds in a virtuoso performance where he proved to be totally unguardable. In fact, Kawhi made 16 of his 23 field goal attempts despite being shadowed by Jimmy Butler (one of the game's better perimeter defenders) for the majority of the contest.

Meanwhile, Sixers star Joel Embiid struggled to even find the basket. Embiid was just 4-of-13 shooting in the first half and took just five shots in the second half, finishing with 16 points for the game.

Embiid owned his poor performance, but he also suggested that the Sixers have to do a better job of giving Leonard and Pascal Siakam (who scored 29 points) different defensive looks. Embiid told Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer:

“I have a lot of respect for those guys. They showed up. … They did a good. Next time maybe just like they are doing to me and double-teaming me. Throw some double-teams and have a better game plan.”

Joel Embiid was not the only Philadelphia star who failed to show up on Saturday night. Tobias Harris grabbed 15 rebounds and added six assists, but he also shot just 6-of-17 from the field and scored only 14 points. Jimmy Butler shot just 4-of-12, likely fatigued from trying to cover Leonard all night.

There is no doubt that the Sixers will need to switch up their strategy as they hope to steal the home-court advantage and even the series in Game 2.
