DeMar DeRozan made his much anticipated return to Toronto tonight, roughly six months after the Raptors traded him to the San Antonio Spurs. He was greeted by a standing ovation by a fan base that supported him during his first nine years in the league.

However, it was all business for DeMar DeRozan, as he showed some of his offensive arsenal in the game. In fact, he had one ridiculous highlight play wherein he spun mid-air past Serge Ibaka for an impressive lay-up.

DeRozan was the main reason why the Raptors were successful over the past couple of years. Nonetheless, he couldn't lead them to the NBA Finals, which prompted the franchise to make a move last summer to trade him in exchange for Kawhi Leonard — arguably one of the five best players in the league when healthy.

DeRozan felt blindsided and even pointed out that he was lied to after Raptors president Masai Ujiri promised him that he will not be traded, less than 24 hours before he was actually shipped to San Antonio.

The 29-year-old swingman seemed to have moved on and is currently helping the Spurs in the Western Conference playoff race.

DeRozan finished the game against the Raptors with 23 points, four rebounds and eight assists. Unfortunately, the Spurs came up short and lost 120-117.
