Donovan Mitchell and the Utah Jazz have often been compared to the Golden State Warriors championship team of recent years. It's no coincidence that this year's best 3-point shooting team just so happens to own the best record in the league.
Mitchell has taken the Jazz 3-point proficiency to new heights against the Orlando Magic on Saturday, as Utah broke another 3-point record previously held by Warriors. The Jazz drained 18 3-pointers in the first 24 minutes of the game, eclipsing the feat made by the Dubs' 2018 team.
The Jazz made 16 more 3-pointers than the Magic in the 1st half. That is the largest differential in any half in NBA history.

The Utah Jazz just set the NBA record for threes made in a half (18), passing the 2018 Golden State Warriors (17).

Mitchell, who's known more as a slasher, had a lot to do with that, as he channelled his inner Stephen Curry by going 6-for-7 from downtown in the first half. Spida drained long bomb after long bomb, regardless if there was a defender on his face or not.

The two-time All-Star was in such a zone that he was even pulling up (and making) it from Curry range.
Donovan Mitchell is *still* on fire. Also you *can't* help against the Utah Jazz. pic.twitter.com/nZ7OW78rth

The Jazz, of course, currently lead the league in 3-point frequency, makes, and attempts. The Los Angeles Clippers took over the top spot in 3-point percentage, but the Jazz still sit in second with a whopping 39.6 success rate.
Utah head coach Quin Snyder's offense makes the most of the snipers he has on the floor, as guys like Bogdan Bogdanovic, Mike Conley, Jordan Clarkson, and Joe Ingles all have the green light to fire away with impunity. Mitchell, for his part, has also improved his accuracy this season, upping his 3-point percentage to a career-best 39.5 clip.
