The bulk of the attention this upcoming offseason for the Utah Jazz will be centered around re-signing All-Star forward Gordon Hayward to a new deal in free agency.

However, one of other storylines that could develop is the potential for veteran forward Derrick Favors being moved in the trade market. According to Jody Genessey of the Deseret News, there is significant interest around the league in the former first-round pick.

The 25-year-old has become one of the central pieces of the puzzle for the Jazz over the last few years. Although he was limited by injuries last season due to the bulk of that coming from 24 games missed stemming from a left knee bone contusion, Favors was still productive averaging 9.5 points and 6.1 rebounds in 23.7 minutes per game.

Utah may not be looking to shop around Favors, but he could be used as an asset to acquire more draft picks or young talent in a potential deal. Keep in mind, he is set to enter the final year of his four-year, $46.9 million deal that will be worth $11.75 million in base salary with a potential $250,000 incentives hit.

Ultimately, any potential move at this point may hinge on what will happen with Hayward in free agency as there has been rumored to be interest from a few teams such as the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat.
