Stephen Curry is undoubtedly one of the most popular NBA players of today. From kids to adults in the country and even around the world, his name has become almost synonymous with the Golden State Warriors and to the league as well. That said, his memorabilia is very valuable, and sells for high prices whether in auctions or stores.

The former back-to-back MVP’s game-worn jersey used in Game 4 and 6 of the 2016 Finals is the latest one sold, for a staggering amount. According to Darrell Rovell of ESPN, it was auctioned for $58,920 on Sunday.

The price for the jersey only goes to show how Curry is endeared by the fans, especially as he continues to be an elite player in the league. It also helps that he is part of the Dubs core, who are expected to be considered legitimate title contenders in the years to come.

Just last month, Michael Jordan’s game-worn Air Jordan 1s were sold for a record price of$55,000 also in an auction. While it can be argued that the kicks were not used in a Finals game, it still shows how much collectors are willing to pay to secure items from all-time greats. With all the success and greatness he’s continuing to exhibit, Curry will most likely be one of the best to ever play the game as well, and could have more memorabilia sold with expensive starting bids in the future.
