With the Golden State Warriors keeping their core intact this offseason and even adding a few key pieces to bolster their already formidable lineup, they remain the favorites to defend their title. Should they win their third championship in four years, a dynasty could be started, and it could lead to being included in the conversations about all time great teams.

That is certainly what Bill Simmons of The Ringer is anxiously waiting to see, as he shared, via Marc Stein of the New York Times, that he cannot wait to see how the Dubs will perform this season. He added that he has some questions that he knows will be answered soon, as he believes the best is yet to come for the team.

“I can’t wait for this season,” Simmons said. “I’d always rather watch an all-time team on a quest for true greatness over any other scenario. Can they win 75 games? Can they go 16-0 in the playoffs? What’s the ceiling for this team? I don’t think we’ve seen it yet.”

Having Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green all in their primes definitely helps their cause, as they can light up the scoreboard on any given night. That lightens the offensive load their teammates have to carry, which helps them preserve their health and conditioning once the playoffs start.

Even with other teams like the Houston Rockets, Oklahoma City Thunder, San Antonio Spurs and Minnesota Timberwolves all geared to make a run for the title, the Warriors players' chemistry and familiarity with one another is a big advantage to them. Coupled with knowing what it takes to win it all, it could prove to be more than enough to lift the Larry O'Brien Trophy once again come June.
