Draymond Green had his scouting report on Los Angeles Lakers forward Brandon Ingram just right, which helped him get a key stop in the last seconds of regulation to force an overtime situation during Wednesday night's road game at Staples Center.

Ingram missed badly after galloping right and taking a contested fallaway against Green, which helped the Warriors take care of business in the extra period. The reigning Defensive Player of the Year noted he was aware of the second-year player's tendencies when it mattered most.

“He's gonna go right every play,” said Green with his usual smirk. “So you know he's going right to the cup. I tried to be there to help.”

“You know he's going right, we couldn't seem to stop him, but I just tried to be there to help, make sure he don't get a layup like he had done all night, and then on the boxout, I did step right in.”

Despite the fireworks put on by Stephen Curry in a perfect quarter, scoring 13 of his 28 points in the game, Draymond Green had the two biggest plays in crunch time, contesting Brandon Ingram at the rim and managing to get an offensive rebound after a rare Stephen Curry miss from the line, giving the Warriors a life line.

Ingram led all scorers with 32 points in a high-scoring affair, but was tamed in the closing period as the Lakers pushed to take one from the Warriors as they have the last two seasons.
