Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green was once again involved in an in-game skirmish on Friday, as he had an altercation with Bradley Beal before halftime of their game against the Washington Wizards. Their actions resulted to receiving hefty fines worth $50,000 and $25,000 from the league office, who are stamping their ground this season on limiting scuffles during games.
When asked to give his reaction about the sanction he received, the Michigan State product did not hold back in speaking his mind. He came up with a 433 word statement, citing other instances where players and even front office executives are doing uncalled for actions as well that could merit a fine from the NBA, but get away with it. Green also gave an argument that he was not treated fairly, especially when all he did was to protect himself during the incident.

The two-time All-Star and Beal got entangled following a rebounding battle, where the Wizards guard hit him in the face and neck area. Green took exception to the contact, and the two pulled each other to the floor, causing a pile of their teammates on top of them. No punches were thrown by either player, but the league office deemed they deserved more than just the ejection they had during the game.
Green has never been the type who is shy to give his honest opinion on different topics, including the ones where he's involved. His latest statement proves just that and is expected to be a much talked about topic for many in the coming days.
