Golden State Warriors star guard Stephen Curry made his highly-anticipated return on Saturday when his team went up against the Memphis Grizzlies. It was a successful comeback for Curry as he did not show any signs of rust despite missing 11 games due to an ankle injury.

When asked how he felt entering the game, the Warriors superstar compared it to having his first day in school and did not expect himself to have a monster game like he had. Curry also added, via Chris Haynes of ESPN, that he was just happy to be back competing with his teammates.

“I just wanted that feeling again,” Curry said. “It was pretty special. It felt like it was the first day of school again.”

“I was just happy to be back out there with my guys. You sit and watch for 11 games, you just wonder what it's going to be like to get back out there, and I finally got that opportunity. I really didn't know what to expect. I just wanted to get some good reps, get up and down, see how my wind was and, surprisingly, I think my body felt way better than I expected.”

Stephen Curry knocked down 10 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 38 points, to go along with four rebounds and three assists. More importantly, he led the Warriors to a 141-128 victory and returned to their winning ways immediately following their surprise defeat against the Charlotte Hornets on Friday.

If Curry can continue to build on his stellar performance on the night, the Warriors will be an even more difficult team to beat. They only lost twice during his absence and now that he's back, he will give the team another offensive weapon which will alleviate the pressure on Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green to carry majority of the scoring load from here on out.
