Golden State Warriors superstar point guard Steph Curry had recently hinted at a likely return this weekend to the delight of fans outside the team's facility. Now it seems to have actually come to fruition.

Although the Warriors had been reaping the benefits of having to pick up the slack without their two-time MVP, he could potentially suit up tonight versus the Memphis Grizzlies, according to Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated:

Curry's possible return could not have come at a better time following their embarrassing loss to the lowly Charlotte Hornets. He had been enjoying another stellar year before being sidelined with an ankle injury in early December.

Fortunately, Golden State's depth has helped fill the void by going 9-2 without their superstar. That said, they have still felt the effects of Curry's absence on the offensive end of things. Prior to the injury, the Warriors led the league in offensive rating (114.6). They have since dropped to 17th (105.9).

Fortunately, they have managed to fine-tune things on defense by jumping from seventh to first in the league (98.7). Needless to say, there have been some benefits to Golden State having to shore things up in some areas. As a result, it will be interesting to see how quickly Curry can get assimilated.
