It has been a crazy week for former Washington Wizards guard Austin Rivers. The 26-year-old is currently still without a team after parting ways with the Phoenix Suns shortly after arriving via trade.

Several reports have emerged regarding Rivers' potential landing spot, with a number of teams interested in acquiring the services of the 6-foot-4 combo guard. According to NBA insider Keith Smith, though, the ball is currently in Rivers' court, with the former Duke standout set to take his pick from the lot:

Rivers arrived in Washington last summer in a deal that sent Marcin Gortat to the Los Angeles Clippers. Unfortunately for Rivers, his time in the nation's capital was short-lived, as he turned out to be an odd fit for the Wizards. The team's front office decided to use him as a trading chip in a deal that allowed them to bring back defensive specialist Trevor Ariza to Washington.

Rivers is coming off a career year with the Clippers last season, with an average of 15.1 points (on 42.2 percent shooting), 2.2 3-pointers, 2.4 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.2 steals in 33.7 minutes of action as the team's starting two guard.

There are a fair amount of teams that could use the skill set of Rivers. An initial report suggested he was heading to the Memphis Grizzlies, but that scenario seems to be out.

Like Smith said, however, Rivers has full control over his future. He certainly won't rush into anything, as he hopes to finally find a more permanent home after a rather tumultuous season thus far.
