Kevin Durant and Trae Young had some thoughts after a couple NBA fans were banned for inappropriate interactions with athletes.
The Philadelphia 76ers revoked one fan's season tickets and banned them from the Wells Fargo Center for life after said fan threw popcorn on Washington Wizards guard Russell Westbrook. Meanwhile, the New York Knicks also banned a fan for spitting on the Atlanta Hawks point guard.
Durant was very poignant in his thoughts about player-fan interactions in the NBA:
It’s all fun and games until ya ass banned for life.

Earlier, Young had shouted out Durant after giving his reaction to what happened:
“IM ME, I DO ME, AND I CHILL”💯

Young will not be pressing charges against the Knicks fan in question, with his agent, Omar Wilkes, saying his client is focused on Game 3 of Atlanta's first-round playoff series:

For his part, Westbrook said Wednesday night fan misconduct is something the NBA has to do a better job of controlling:
“I wouldn’t come up to me on the street and throw popcorn on my head, because you know what happens,” Westbrook said, via Fred Katz of The Athletic. “In these arenas, you gotta start protecting the players. We’ll see what the NBA does.”
All these stars are competing for an NBA championship, but they're also a brotherhood as members of The Association. LeBron James also chastised the fan who threw popcorn on Westbrook and issued his support for all players.
Fan misconduct has been all too prevalent in the NBA in the past few years. There are certain lines fans simply cannot cross. Otherwise, as Durant and Young noted, they must face the repercussions.
