Bradley Beal and Jayson Tatum just traded buckets at a crucial stretch of the game between the Washington Wizards and the Boston Celtics. Beal, as he's done all season long, kept his team in the game late in the fourth with a huge four-point play against Tatum.

Beal's clutch bucket couldn't come in a more opportune time, too. His four-point play gave the Wizards back the lead after Tatum and Celtics starting guard Kemba Walker helped Boston take the lead with a quick 5-point rally which put the C's up by 3.

Article Continues BelowThe first-time All-Star starter continues to roll for the Wizards, and he's not slowing down one bit. Coming into the TD Garden, Beal still sits at the top of the scoring leader's chart with 32.8 points per game ahead of MVP candidates Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers and Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors.
What's also been extra impressive of the Missouri native is how he's been able to rally his troops in these past few weeks where the Wizards have looked way different from their early-season form.
Before Sunday night's game against Boston, the Wizards had won seven of their last eight outings including huge wins against the Portland Trail Blazers, two wins against the Denver Nuggets and an important win over the defending champions Los Angeles Lakers.
The Wizards are trying to sustain their momentum so that on the other side of the all-star break, they will remain in position to swipe the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference, with that spot entirely up for grabs in a cluttered race where teams haven't been able to separate themselves from the pack. Washington's brutal start to the season could become a distant memory if the team can come even closer to a playoff spot in the spring months.
