NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal is unfortunately no longer in the NBA with his days of breaking backboards and snagging rebounds becoming something from the distant past. However, we do still get to enjoy “Shaq's” commentary as part of Turner Sports' NBA coverage with “The Big Aristotle” remaining a big part of the league today.

On the other hand, Dwight Howard, who is now a member of the Washington Wizards, remains sidelined due to injury while the once heralded big man has lost quite a bit of his luster since his time as a member of the Orlando Magic. Nonetheless, the comparisons between “Shaq” and Howard never really came to a full halt — considering both the size and skill levels of these two beastly humans at their respective peaks.

As a result, SB Nation recently took a very close look at the continuing debate about “Shaq” versus Dwight Howard and the ongoing beef between the two that certainly started but has yet to come full circle to an end.

Not only have the two continually been compared, but there is lingering beef between the NBA Hall of Famer and the now often forgotten about Howard. Additionally, the similarities between the two are seemingly endless, creating quite the divide in the process. Who is the real, “Superman?”

At this point, it is hard to side with anyone but “Shaq” on just about every issue on the planet but Howard definitely deserves at least some.
