The Washington Wizards will be without the services of Otto Porter for Wednesday night's matchup against the Detroit Pistons, according to an official report from the team.

This marks the eighth straight game that Porter will have missed due to a knee injury. MRI scans that were recently taken revealed a Grade II strain of the right Vastus medialis. At this point, there is still no official timetable for his return.
Porter, now 25 years of age, has made 25 appearances with the Wizards this season, racking up averages of 11.7 points on 48.7 percent shooting from the field (36.8 percent from beyond the arc), 5.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals in 29.5 minutes per outing.
With Porter ruled out, Trevor Ariza and Jeff Green will likely see up-ticks in their usage rates. Ariza, who recently joined the team, has been playing well as of late. In his debut with Washington, Ariza posted 19 points, eight rebounds, four assists and six steals.

Ariza, 33, was acquired from the Phoenix Suns for forward Kelly Oubre Jr. and guard Austin Rivers in a trade announced earlier this month. Wizards fans know Ariza's game well, as he played for the team during the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons.
In other Wizards injury news, Dwight Howard says he is now pain-free after undergoing a lumbar microdiscectomy on Nov. 30.
“Oh, I can sit down. I can touch my toes, put my socks on — all the stuff I couldn’t do before the surgery,” Howard told The Washington Post earlier this month. “It feels good to get that stuff off, because I was in a lot of pain. I don’t know how I actually played the way I was playing with what was going on in my body, and I’m just so happy that it’s gone.”
Wednesday night's Wizards-Pistons game is scheduled to tip inside Little Caesars Arena at 7:00 p.m. EST.
