The struggling Washington Wizards are looking to make a minor change on their roster. They're working on finalizing a deal to bring back guard Chasson Randle, according to Candace Buckner of The Washington Post.

Randle was originally signed by the Wizards in September, but was waived at the conclusion of the preseason. Washington re-signed him a few weeks later and assigned him to the Capital City Go-Go. Although they waived him on Nov. 12, as Buckner says in her tweet, he has continued playing with the Go-Go.

In seven games with Capital City, Randle averaged 34.4 minutes per game with 23.1 points per game. He hit on 22-of-47 from 3-point range during that stretch and also kicked in 4.1 assists and 2.0 steals per game. Randle hasn't played in the NBA since 2016-17, his rookie season. He split time between the Philadelphia 76ers and New York Knicks that year, combining to play 26 games. He averaged 11.5 minutes per game that year, shooting 40.8 percent from the field and averaging 5.3 points per game.

Randle spent four years playing college ball at Stanford but went undrafted following his senior season in 2014-15. While in college, he played in 144 total games and averaged 33.3 minutes and 16.5 points per game.

The Wizards have had a disappointing season so far this year, with a 12-18 record heading into play on Monday. Washington blew out the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday, 128-110, which halted a four-game losing streak. Poor defense has been the biggest issue, as the Wizards have allowed 117.8 points per game to opposing teams over their last six games.
