The Washington Wizards hit a franchise-record 19 3-pointers against the Toronto Raptors on Sunday, but it wasn't enough to beat the NBA's best team. Otto Porter Jr. missed a potential game-winner in the final seconds of double overtime as the Raptors escaped with a thrilling 140-138 victory.

While Porter missed his last 3-pointer, he did hit five of the 19 triples (on 44 attempts) for the Wizards on the afternoon. He was also the one to set the franchise record with a trey late in the first overtime.

Bradley Beal continued his outstanding play with a monster triple-double of 43 points, 15 assists and 10 rebounds, and he knocked down six of his 12 3-point attempts. Beal sent the game to overtime with a clutch 3-pointer at the end of regulation:

Beal also sent the game to a second overtime with a tough shot around the basket. The shooting guard has been showing out in John Wall's absence:

While the Wizards have been disappointing and Sunday was a tough loss, they've looked much better of late with Beal leading the way. Washington can still salvage this season despite an 18-26 start. Because the Eastern Conference is so weak, the Wizards are only two games out of the final playoff spot and could easily get in if they keep playing like this.
