Already playing without John Wall, the Washington Wizards are also in danger of missing Bradley Beal’s services, depending on the results on tests that will be done on his eye. The 24-year-old shooting guard was inadvertently hit in the right eye by Jerryd Bayless, during their game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday.

It may seem like a precautionary move on the Wizards’ end at this point, but eye injuries are often tricky to deal with, and could have long-term effects on a player, which the team wants to prevent.
Article Continues BelowBradley Beal, who took an elbow to his right eye, said he will have an eye exam on Thursday.
"The eye is very important, so [the doctor] said there might be some things in the back going on that might not affect you right now but could affect me tonight or tomorrow."

It’s still unclear what the extent of the injury is, but there was also a good sign that happened, as Beal was able to continue playing in the game. He even scored 21 points on the night, and saw 22 total minutes of action. His efforts were not enough to give the Wizards the win though, and saw their record drop to 11-10 for the season.
Should he be forced to sit out some games, Kelly Oubre and Jodie Meeks will see an uptick in their minutes, and should divide Beal’s minutes. More details about his eye are expected to emerge on Thursday, especially as the Wizards have the day off.
