Following the Washington Wizards' loss to the Miami Heat on Nov. 17, John Wall revealed his left knee was sore. As a result, Wall sat out against the Toronto Raptors but returned against the Milwaukee Bucks and Charlotte Hornets.

After reportedly receiving an MRI, Candace Buckner of The Washington Post reports Wall is expected to miss two weeks after undergoing treatment on his knee:

After a career year during the 2016-17 NBA season, Wall's numbers have all slightly decreased except for blocks. Through 16 games, the four-time All-Star is averaging 20.3 points (43.4 percent shooting from the field and 31.7 percent shooting from the three-point line), 3.4 rebounds, and 9.2 assists in 34.4 minutes.

To begin the new season, the Wizards have started with a 10-8 record and it will be interesting to see if they can stay afloat without Wall. After re-signing their core players during the offseason, there were high expectations Washington could take the next step and challenge the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference.

Now, head coach Scott Brooks and company will have another tough challenge in front of them as they look to establish themselves as championship contenders. Their first game without Wall takes place on Nov. 25 as they host the Portland Trail Blazers, who are in a similar position as them with an 11-8 record.
