Remember when Washington Wizards star point guard John Wall won the NBA Slam Dunk Contest back in 2014? Head coach Scott Brooks definitely does and following Wall's return from a lengthy absence, there will be no more dunking during team practices for the four-time NBA All-Star.

According to Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washington, Brooks is not taking any chances going forward and even mentioned Oklahoma City Thunder superstar point guard Russell Westbrook as a prime example of his reasoning regarding Wall.

“I've done it in the past with you can imagine who that plays the same type of way,” Brooks said. “[Westbrook] likes to dunk, he likes to dunk over you and he likes to talk about his dunk over you. They're the same mentality. I had that same talk with him. Save those dunks for the game. You're allowed to do it in the game, but not in practice.”

Wall, who finally returned after his nine-game hiatus after a knee injury, had 13 points and four assists in limited minutes during Wednesday night's win over the Memphis Grizzlies.

“It just happens. I took a bad knee at a bad angle and there was nothing I could control that with. I play the way I play,” Wall said. “You do try to do things so you don't take as much of a pounding. That's all I know, just all-out.”

Heading into tonight's contest against the L.A. Clippers, Wall is currently second on the team in scoring behind star shooting guard Bradley Beal and is averaging 19.9 points and 8.9 assists per game in just 17 contests this season.
