The Washington Wizards suffered a huge blow with the recent knee injury to superstar point guard John Wall. Unfortunately, the timing could not be worse with the Wizards quickly plummeting to the eighth spot in the Eastern Conference.

With Wall out, Bradley Beal will likely step in as the Wizards go-to man on offense. However, head coach Scott Brooks hints that forwards Otto Porter Jr. and Markieff Morris could be poised for an increased role as well, according to Candace Buckner of The Washington Post.

Scott Brooks' admission of Otto Porter Jr. should come as no surprise considering he has largely been the third scoring option on this Wizards team. The fifth-year man is currently averaging 15.5 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. Even more impressive, Porter has built on the tremendous improvement he made last year from the 3-point line as he is currently shooting a career-high 47.8 percent from deep.

However, the same cannot be said for Morris. The former Kansas Jayhawk has struggled to find his rhythm after missing the first seven games of the 2017-18 NBA season while recovering from a sports hernia surgery. Morris has registered just 9.8 points and 4.4 rebounds on 44.8 percent shooting from the field. Despite his paltry numbers, Brooks is hoping that Markieff Morris can at least provide a consistent scoring punch for the next two weeks in Wall's absence.
