A rare rain delay inside the Verizon Center took place throughout the second quarter of a WNBA game between the host Washington Mystics and the Indiana Fever, prompting an unforeseen dance-off between the two teams to pass the time until repairs were made.
This wasn't the first occurrence, as the Mystics had already postponed a game against the Connecticut Sun earlier this season due to a leaking roof at their arena back in July 28 because of a major rainstorm that went through Washington that day. That leak was fixed, but a serious thunderstorm went through the Washington D.C. area on Saturday night, prompting a few repairs after the drips became noticeable.
The Washington Nationals' game against the San Francisco Giants was also delayed for three hours and the pitch at RFK stadium, where D.C. United hosted Real Salt Lake was forced to be postponed after the pitch was flooded.

But the Mystics managed to make the most of their delay, pulling off a little dance-off to keep the crowd entertained while the leaks were getting fixed.
Point guard Ivory Latta has been known for her fun-loving manner and she was first in call to get the dancing started, some of her teammates and other players from the Fever soon followed.
