Colorado Buffaloes athletic director Rick George made perhaps the boldest move in college football last winter when he hired Deion Sanders as the next coach of the Colorado football team.

After overhauling the roster all offseason and implementing his confidence into the previously 1-11 team, coach Sanders led the team to a win over No. 17 ranked TCU in his first game with the team.

The win vaulted Colorado into the Associated Press's prestigious Top 25 list. However, Rick George is not surprised at all.

When asked if he expected the success of Colorado football so far, George said, “Yeah, I kind of did. He exudes that, and he's talked about winning and winning now, and he's put an emphasis on that. So I'm not surprised that we're having these conversations. The fact that we had 7.3 million viewers on the broadcast, the biggest first week of Big Noon that they've had ever just says that there's a ton of interest in Coach Prime, our football program, this university, and I couldn't be happier,” via Jim Rome.

Though George may have predicted the success of his team, many others did not. The Buffaloes' win over TCU came as a big upset for many after they were 21 point underdogs. Since the tremendous game, the AP Top 25 ranked Colorado in at 22nd, making up for the doubt shown toward the team before the season.

Of course, the Buffaloes still have to play like this over the rest of the season to maintain their spot on the list. Their next game is versus Nebraska Saturday where they'll try to move to 2-0.
