The Georgia Bulldogs will face the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Saturday. This is a pretty big game, even if it is still incredibly early in the college football season.

If you are interested, I recently wrote a column about Brian Kelly. In it, I make the case that Notre Dame fans might be better off rooting against their own favorite team. A kind of hot-take, I know.

This will be the first of a home-and-home series between the Bulldogs and the Fighting Irish. There will be a gap year between the two contests, however, these two teams will meet again in Athens in late September 2019.

Brandon Wimbush got his first start out of the way against the Temple Owls last week. He looked relatively impressive. On the other sideline, this will be the first time Jake Fromm with be starting at the big boy college football level. He replaces the injured Georgia starter Jacob Eason on Saturday up in South Bend.

As for the prediction: The Irish win by a slim margin, 28-24.
