Lane Kiffin is the hero we never knew we needed. The former Alabama Crimson Tide offensive coordinator, and current FAU Owls head coach, is everything that is right with college football, even if that is actually unintentional.

What people might most remember about Kiffin the last few years was his iffy relationship with Nick Saban.

Nick Saban, for those unaware, doesn't seem like a fun person to work for. Lane Kiffin, on the other hand, really appears to like having fun. They are like Paula Abdul and that cat in the rap video from the 1980s, except these opposites did not attract.

Anyway, Alabama has its rather famous Roll Tide nonsense its fan base does. It is neat they can rally around two words as the Crimson Tide do. If neat meant lame.

Kiffin, lacking some creativity, or maybe just the school in general, has released a video upon the world that infringes upon Alabama's rallying cry. In an effort to be the Crimson Tide of the (deeper?) south, Roll Owl has been born.

Forget the fact that they didn't even bother to change Ludacris' lyrcis so he would actually be saying owl, Roll Owls will win an Oscar … or a Grammy … or an Emmy. Whatever award goes to masterpieces like that video above.

The Owls beat Old Dominion 58-28 on Saturday, moving to 3-3 on the season and staking claim to first place in the East Division of Conference USA. A program needs to start somewhere, I guess.

Roll Owls. Roll Damn Owls Roll.
