College football fans around the country have been waiting for the return of the NCAA football game, and they are close to getting it. The last edition of the game came out in 2014, and now that NIL is a thing, the game is making a return, and it is set to come out this summer. A big reveal happened on Friday as the cover of the deluxe edition was revealed. Michigan football won the national championship last season, and Wolverines running back Donovan Edwards is front and center on the cover.

Donovan Edwards is joined by Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers and versatile Colorado star Travis Hunter. The trio makes sense. They have the big-name QB in Ewers, a do it all player like Hunter, and also Edwards who was a huge factor in last year's national championship that the Michigan football team won.

Edwards had a bit of a quiet season last year as he was the backup RB behind Blake Corum, but when he needed to step up, he did. In the national title game, Edwards busted two long touchdown runs in the first half of the game to quickly give the Wolverines a 14-3 lead, and they never looked back, cruising to a 34-13 win.

Seeing the cover of the new NCAA football game made college football fans everywhere even more excited for the release of the game. We don't know when the game is going to come out, but we do know that it will be this summer. The EA website also has a countdown for the next piece of news regarding the game, and the countdown ends on Thursday. That very well could be the date release of the game.
