Saint Peters continued their Cinderella run on Saturday with an 70-60 upset victory over Murray State. The Peacocks entered the tournament with low odds to make much of an impact, but their recent run has been nothing short of miraculous. In addition to their run of upsets, Saint Peters also made history on Saturday as they became just the third 15-seed to ever make it to the Sweet 16. Their unprecedented run has people wondering if they can continue their winning ways moving forward. But for now, we have to appreciate all that they have done so far in March.

KC Ndefo led the charge for the Peacocks with a 17 point, 10 rebound double-double. Additioanlly, he added four blocks to set the pace on defense. Doug Edert also played well with 13 points on 4-6 shooting from the field to his credit.

The Peacocks road to victory stemmed on the glass. Saint Peters out-rebounded Murray State 35-27. They also played an intense brand of defense which led to 12 Racer turnovers and a field goal percentage of under 35 percent.

This ten point win came after the Peacocks pulled off a massive first round upset over Kentucky where they won by a final score of 85-79.

The road will only get more difficult moving forward. But the Peacocks have to be feeling confident after already defeating an extremely talented Kentucky team and taking care of business against the pesky Murray State Racers. Regardless of what the future holds this has already been a great story.

But there is certainly potential for a true Cinderella story.
