The Brooklyn Nets announced Monday that they have signed swingman Mitchell Creek and guard Jordan McLaughlin. The finer details of their deals have not yet been disclosed, though these are likely just training camp invites.

Creek, now 26 years of age, is a 6-foot-5, 216-pound native of Horsham, Australia. He spent the last eight seasons playing for Adelaide in the Australian National Basketball League (2010-18) and BG Gottingen of the German Basketball League (2018).

In 200 career games for Adelaide (101 starts), Creek racked up averages of 9.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 21.0 minutes per outing. In 2017-18, he earned All-NBL Second-Team honors after leading Adelaide to the NBL Finals.

Creek also spent some time with the Dallas Mavericks’ 2018 Las Vegas Summer League team, appearing in five games and averaging 6.8 points and 5.2 rebounds in 18.0 minutes per outing.

McLaughlin, 22, is a 6-foot-1 guard who played four years of collegiate ball with the University of Southern California. The Pasadena native started in all but one of his 128 career games for the Trojans, recording averages of 12.9 points, 5.8 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.7 steals in 33.5 minutes per contest.

During his senior year with the Trojans, McLaughlin set a new USC single-season record with 281 assists, which ranked first in the Pac-12 and third in the NCAA overall.

McLaughlin holds several other records at USC.
