James Harden wasn't even with the Brooklyn Nets when the 2020-21 season started, but in the 2021 playoffs, he has already achieved something that Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving are yet to do.

In Game 5 against the Boston Celtics, Harden helped the Nets take care of business and eliminate the Beantown team with an insane triple-double of 34 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Apparently, it was the first time a player from the franchise achieved a 30-point trip-dub stat line.

Now this is certainly impressive and speaks volume on James Harden's ability to make an impact on various areas aside from scoring.

Of course, piling up assists in a team that features potent scorers in Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving makes it a bit easier. However, that is also the reason why the feat is truly incredible. In such a talented team, scoring 30 or more points is not easy given that the others also demand the ball.

It also shows how Harden has found his role within the Nets. There is no longer the pressure for him to score, and he can simply attract defense and make plays for his teammates.

It'll be interesting to see if KD and Kyrie will also be able to reach such numbers, but with the way the Nets are playing, nothing is impossible. Who knows, there might be a time when we see the “Big 3” put up a triple-double in a single playoffs game!
