The Brooklyn Nets are one of the 22 teams set to return to NBA action. This is definitely music to the ears of basketball fans. But it has impacted betting odds, too, especially since there's speculation that star forward Kevin Durant might suit back up.

Per Doug Kezirian of ESPN, Caesars Sportsbook on Wednesday lowered the Nets' championship odds from 750-1 to 60-1. Caesars director of trading Jeff Davis explained the logic behind this move. He's very much aware of the impact that Durant could bring to the court.

“I would rather be cautious and deal 60-1 than get hurt when we hear news [of Durant and Irving returning]. I don't want to post 150-1 odds, and the problem is you take a bet of a couple thousand and it pays $300,000 and you're stuck if [Durant is] good.”

Last month, Durant himself addressed the question on everybody's mind. Will he suit back up in the 2019-20 season? Was the long hiatus enough for him to recover? For the former league MVP and two-time champ, he'll return “when it's time.”

“It is what it is man. Everybody waiting on me to come back,” Durant said on the Young Money Radio with Lil' Wayne. “A lot of emotions involved. So I get it. I understand the business now. But I’ll be back when it’s time.”

The Nets currently sport a 30-24 record for seventh in the East. As the league announced, the 22 teams will play eight more regular-season games to determine their standings. From the looks of it, the Nets have a pretty good shot at making it to the postseason. Will we see Durant's return by then?
